I just started playing Scrabble online. My very first game hasn't gone well. I challenged my opponent's first play and they didn't take their turn for several days. When I emailed them to find out if they were still playing, I got several excuses: they didn't know my email, didn't know what game room we were in, didn't get any notification of my play.
I was winning 100pts to 0. There was no excuse for not knowing any of those things. They were all supplied in the initial email that was given to my opponent as well as a link to the site. The only thing I can think of is that the other player was attempting to let the game expire and be erased after the 7 day time limit in order to avoid playing a game in which they were already losing by 100 points.
After this experience, being my first one with on-line scrabble, I really don't want to play this individual anymore. I can smell bulls#!t a mile away.
Does this sort of thing happen to anyone else out there?
